Update November 13,2012: (from her Foster Mom) "She really is an amazing girl. Weight gain is to me slow going but she has gained about 12-15 lbs by now. She eats 3 times a day
Just had EKG done to check out her heart before we try and remove
tumors or spayed her, Doc wants to make sure her heart can take it" (From Maude) "Hi everyone, WOW would you look at all the people! I wanted to stop by and check in with everyone as I know not much has been said about who I really am or who I am becoming. They said (old family) I didn't like people and I didn't listen and they left me outside by myself on a chain with no food or water All of that has changed. I AM a sweet girl and I listen very well. I am very laid back and go with the flow kind of girl. However I love to play tug. I am learning how to play with people, oh how I do love people and my nub goes a mile a minute. I really like to play with my fur sister and brother, they are teaching me the ropes on what its like to be in a family that loves you, plays with you and best of all is the food. There is always food so I am putting on weight so far I have almost gained 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I love all dogs and even get along with them other fur things I think my foster family called them things cats? ! I still have some medical issues that the nice Doctor is working on, I have them nasty bugs in my heart but they will be leaving soon and a few other small issues. Once I am good as new I will be looking for my forever home. So keep an eye out for me because I am one amazing girl." New Photos (11/13)
October 2012: Sometimes a picture speaks a thousand words, and Maude is the perfect example of this. Maude is new to Florida Boxer rescue, and she is in need of help. It is obvious that Maude has been through so much. She is heavy heartworm positive, full of hookworms, emaciated, needs to be spayed, an x-ray, and a possible echo. We were told she only had one litter, but her sweet worn out body tells us a different story. Florida Boxer Rescue is out of money and out of space, but we were fortunate enough to find a foster home for her. Now we need to work on the other end. Please consider a donation towards her care. We will keep this website updated with a bio which is coming soon. Any donation made towards Florida Boxer Rescue will primarily be used towards the vet bills of our dogs. We thank you all for your support of our rescue so we can continue doing what we do.
